About Blossom Wellness, LLC Associate, Dina Kormondy:
Dina has been working with children and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families since 1996. She has a strong background in the techniques of Applied Behavior Analysis and feels that empowering parents with this knowledge will allow for generalization and the best possible outcome for children in both the home and school environments.
Dina develops and facilitates parent training topics, with a focus on the many facets of ABA, including Incidental Teaching, which helps parents to identify and take advantage of the many teachable moments that occur in the natural setting. Dina also works toward developing pro-social skills for children and young adults with ASD through social group activities appropriate to their age and ability levels.
Additionally, Dina has worked with siblings of children with ASD in group settings. She feels that offering an open and friendly atmosphere for siblings who share this common bond can create a feeling of safety and is often a good first step in addressing any concerns that siblings may face.
Dina's extensive knowledge and experience analyzing behavior, creating programs and supporting and educating families assists her in helping parents evaluate and cope with social, emotional and behavioral concerns of all children. She is a valuable asset to any family looking for assistance in understanding and treating behaviors of concern in their children.
